High cost of living.
Individual laments rising costs of living as the country’s inflation hits a 4 years high by more than 50 percent food prices are up by almost 50 percent which makes individuals at Gombe state lament and appeal to the government to come to their aid due to high prices of goods across the country.
Deport’s record that, 80% of individuals lacks life necessaries making things hade and difficult for them to afford.
In an interview with a resident at Kashere , Gombe state Mal. Musa Yahaya a break layer, said he no longer eats three times in a day due to high price of food he buy’s at his work place. Musa said in the year 2022, the plate of rice he usually buy’s and the quantity is unlike before because of the way things are.
Speaking with a hairdresser, at Kashere Miss Jenifer Joel said she don’t longer have much costumers at her sallon, due to fixed high price of attachment it became more expensive which not everyone can afford it.
She added that, she usually makes hair four times in a day recently things are not as before she furthermore said she doesn’t make much sales like before.
Also speaking to Mr Adbdullahi Kasim, a business man in Gombe, showed his worries and concern as a result of how things are going Kasim said initially his children attended private secondary school but as a result of how hade the country is his children have to attend public school because of the high price of school fees. He also said food is his major problem as he can’t afford it to his family.
Individuals make the appeal necessary so as government and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) to come to their aid’s.
